The real heart of the CHOP is seen in our dedication to the poor and homeless. Every morning, Monday thru Friday at 7:30 AM we host a worship service that is geared toward folks who are living on the streets or who wouldn’t feel comfortable in a traditional church setting. Teachers and worship leaders from various churches come together to share the encouraging and empowering word of God to those in desperate need. Afterwards, everyone enjoys a fellowship breakfast that is provided by people from area churches or businesses.
We have 2000 square feet upstairs that is used for resource redistribution. We operate a clothing closet that provides clothing to the homeless in our area and to ministries that provide clothing in other areas throughout the region. As we worship and fellowship with the homeless, we are able to effectively assess needs and provide the appropriate aid. We have seen over 40 people move from a condition of homelessness in the past year. God is doing amazing things in their lives and we are humbled to be a part of it.
