Freedom House
Not a “Shelter”
Freedom House is not a “Men’s Shelter”. We have departed from the shelter mentality and keep the number of men  manageable . By keeping the numbers low, we have been able to focus more on ministry than crowd control. The current house will hold 11 residents and 1 coordinator.

The Program.

At Freedom House, we have created a structured environment that meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs as well as teaching life skills that will be required when the men exit the program. There is an intense relational component to their healing, as well as engagement in all of the classes offered by the Fresh Start Program.

  1. •Addiction Recovery – Residents attend a “Cross Ties” group once per week to deal with addiction.
  2. •Biblical Study – Residents attend the CHOP, area churches, and study the scriptures 5 days per week in a group setting.
  3. •Spiritual Healing – Residents will attend classes at area churches  and are a part of group meetings four days per week to learn to understand who they are in Christ and what He desires for their life.
  4. •Life Skills – Volunteers with experience in a wide array of life skills will teach concepts such as etiquette, personal finance, dressing for success…etc

Does it work?

Please watch our testimony video of some of the men of Freedom House.
