Initiative Goal$2,250,000
THE DREAM CONTINUES TO GROW!
In April 2022, Phase One of the Miracle City campus was completed because of the incredible sacrifice of many people like you. This monumental accomplishment has enabled us to begin serving Montgomery County like never before. We can’t express how humbled we are to be part of this amazing community! And while we are proud of our progress over the last two years, we know we can’t rest here.
We believe now more than ever that God has appointed this dream for our city, and what God sets in motion, we know He will provide. So it’s here, with tremendous excitement and gratitude, that we invite you to be a part of furthering the impact of Miracle City and join in the joy of seeing hope restored and futures transformed. We need you. Our community needs you!
We pray you’ll consider partnering with us for this next milestone moment. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference! Together, we can end homelessness, break the cycle of poverty, and give at-risk youth the gift of a brighter future. Together, we will leave a legacy worth remembering!
Initiative Goals
Phase Two of Miracle City will provide more than just buildings. It will provide stable environments to nurture life transformation for hundreds of individuals annually. By offering an escape from their situation, we can engage with them one-on-one and begin a holistic journey to recovery and life transformation.
Together, with God’s provision and your faithful generosity, we seek to raise $2.25 million to fund Phase Two of Miracle City. This phase includes:
Construction of Three Transition Homes - $1,350,000
Freedom House (Men’s Home)
This transition home will be capable of holding 16 men at one time.
Hosanna House (Women’s Home)
This transition home will be capable of holding 16 women at one time.
Joy House (Crisis Pregnancy Home)
This transition home will be capable of holding 8 women and their children at one time.

Furnishing the Transition Homes - $100,000
Additional Campus Infrastructure Work - $300,000
The following site improvements must be made to fulfill city code and enable us to house residents on our campus.
- Expand the Parking Lot
- Dig a Detention Pond
- Additional Dirt Work
- Add Fencing and Security
- Increase Capacity of Utilities
Covering Operational Expenses - $500,000
Phase Two of this initiative will be an intense, all-encompassing effort for our paid staff and volunteer leadership. Yet, we also know we cannot sacrifice our mission of continuing to serve those in need. Due to this, we are including a provision for our operating budget to sustain our ministry impact through September 2023.

Testimonies
Jeremy Box
Long-time Ministry Partner
“I’ve watched Luke, Karla, and the Compassion United team work tirelessly to love and empower people that most of society would rather forget. They care for the poor and forgotten better than any other non-profit I’ve seen. I’m honored to be a small part of their impact by volunteering and financially supporting their efforts. Every city in the country needs a Compassion United!”
Tom Hauser
Board Member
“I began volunteering at CU because of the passion of the founders, Luke and Karla. What kept me coming back was getting to know the people at CHOP. They are people just like me who had a life issue that put them in situations that, but for the grace of God, I could be in as well. It’s a blessing to celebrate their successes and walk with them in their losses, just as Jesus did.”
Jody Czajkoski
Mayor of Conroe
“I have known Luke and Compassion United for seven years, and their team is the real deal! I would love to see this Miracle City project perfected because I believe it will greatly benefit our city’s homelessness dilemma for decades to come.”
Jack & LuAnne Criswell
Long-time Ministry Partners
“Jack and I have been blessed to volunteer at Conroe House of Prayer for over ten years. It’s a wonderful experience to serve alongside the people of Compassion United as they love and empower our neighbors in need with the most sincere hearts. God continues to work miracles around us as we serve faithfully and joyfully.”
About Miracle City
Once fully complete, Miracle City will be a first-of-its-kind, whole-person transformation community for Montgomery County, uniquely focused on serving the forgotten, marginalized and hopeless. There will indeed be no place like it! In fact, city leaders have said that Miracle City could be a standard for similar models across the nation to address homelessness on a broader level.
The five-acre campus will allow people to live and work in a grace-based, inspiring environment where they’ll develop emotional and spiritual maturity, life skills and work experience as they discover a new and abundant life. Miracle City will consist of transitional, short and long-term housing with built-in support services and empowerment opportunities. In addition, it will house a welding shop, carpentry shop, auto repair shop, food pantry, clothing closet, and much more.
In ten years of full operation, Miracle City will have the capacity to holistically transform over 1250 lives and serve over 120,000 under-resourced families per year with food, clothing, emotional and spiritual guidance, and more, introducing hope into their darkness.
