Outreach Program Serving Food To The Poor & Homeless
Breakfast in the Park is Compassion United’s flagship outreach.
What started with a family and a cooler full of breakfast tacos has become a Saturday morning tradition that unites churches all over Montgomery County — serving meals fit for a king to homeless and poverty-stricken in Conroe.
This outreach opportunity is an easy way to jump in and serve our neighbors in need. Each week, a different church, business or small group of individuals gets to sponsor, prepare and serve breakfast alongside one another, giving you a hands-on experience of what it is like to engage in ministry to those in need.

I came to Compassion United’s transition home for men in June of 2021. Prescription medication management due to a torn ACL had grown out of control, ending in a divorce and the loss of my career. Living with unbearable loneliness and having thoughts of ending my life, I did a google search and found Compassion United. Within 6 months I had a new outlook on life, graduated the program and moved to Colorado.
When I think back, I couldn’t have dreamed up the life I have today. God took everything that I thought would kill me and He used it to recreate me.
