Men’s Transition Home
Freedom House is a safe, stable environment for men seeking positive change in their lives. Many of our residents here have a history of homelessness, addiction and imprisonment, inhibiting them from becoming who they were created to be.
Freedom House is not a shelter, but rather a home of hope for men in need, and our model reflects that! Our restoration program is uniquely designed to allow each resident an escape from their current situation as they begin the journey of restoring their hope and transforming their future. Each resident receives clothing and an individualized plan for success using a multi-phased, holistic approach to wholeness and community.
With a caring staff and incredible volunteers, Freedom House empowers men to learn to dream again and achieve independence and success in life!
We are in continual need of prayer, volunteers and donations to fund things like:
Rent
Utilities
Teaching materials
Transportation expenses
Unexpected repairs
Mine was a heart filled with hate fueled by a difficult, trauma filled childhood and a long stay in prison. With the help of Compassion United’s Freedom House program, I found the direction I needed and my life has been radically changed. The encouraging, accepting network of mentors and friends has helped me explore my new-found identity and purpose. Compassion United took me in despite my background and showed me Christ like love. God has shown me I don’t need to live in guilt and shame any longer, and I hope to one day do the same for others who find themselves like I was.
