Friends of Compassion,
The end of each year is a perfect time to connect and reflect on the vear past with the people that mean so much to us as an organization. The year 2024 has been such a significant time in the lives of our day clients and residents, and that's largely due to you!
We would love for you to join us for a time of connection, with an opportunity to bring
your year-end gifts and hear about the year ahead.
Year-End Rally is our final generosity initiative every year and allows us to share with you all that God has done throughout the year and the exciting things to come.
Additionally, it provides the opportunity to further equip the ministry's work by making a tax-deductible, year-end gift. At the Year-End Rally Open House, we open our doors to provide an environment where you can drop off your gift, get to know our team better and be inspired by the testimony of God's faithfulness because of our
incredible partners like you.
We hope to see you there to personally thank you
for your continued partnership and generosity!

$27.54. That is what was spent that January morning in 2006 when Karla and I decided we wanted to serve the unsheltered in our community. The vision was small and the seed was small. As God always does, he brought an increase to both. Now, when I see a small seed, I get very excited, as I have a history with them, and I know what they turn into. I recall one time that I logged into our giving portal, and I saw one of such seeds. It was a $12 donation. What made this gift, this seed, so special, however, was the person who gave it. She is someone who was once part of our transition program. She is an incredibly kind and loving young lady who doesn’t really have the ability to give much. So I know that this was something very special to her and special to God. And I know that this acorn will turn into an oak tree. Although she is not in our program, she is still in our family.
Here is what she had to say;
“They helped me through some of my darkest times and showed me how to love and trust again. I've learned so much from CHOP and Compassion United. They have all become family and the ones that I look up to and can go to anytime, no matter what time of day it is. They’re always there for you when family or friends aren’t. They’re amazing people.”
The Compassion United Year End Rally is our final funding and awareness campaign of each year. In order for us to see more lives changed, like the woman in the story above, we need your help. Our financial needs for 2024 are greater than they have ever been before. Historically, January and February are among the slowest months for donations. This means that we need to raise enough operating funds in December to carry us through the first quarter. You can help us reach that goal and empower us to restore hope and transform futures in 2024!
We are currently in a capital campaign to fund the next phase of construction please click here for more information.
Capital CampaignTo make things easy, we have made several options available for you to give.
Swing By: Myself and several members of the CU team will be at the Miracle City Empowerment Center (350 Foster Dr, Conroe TX 77301) from 12:30-3:00 pm on December 29th with hot coffee and food for our “Year End Rally Open House.” If you would like to drop off your year-end gift, or would just like to come by and meet some of our leaders, we would love to see you. We will also be sharing videos of the various ministry areas so that you can see what’s going on.
